7 Count Performance September 15th!
An evening of immersive music and performance by 7 Count – Jake Nussbaum, Angus McCullough, and Adam Tinkle. 7 Count creates music and participatory installations that engage audiences in communicative, healing, and improvisatory sound. They work collaboratively to unpack the layered experiences available from mixing various media (and mediums) on air and in person. The evening at Outpost marks the release of their newest album, Request Line, and will include special contributions from Nicolee Kuester and Katie Porter.
Rather than a normal stage/audience arrangement, the space will be organized with stations featuring acoustic and electronic instruments in a large circle to create a permeable sonic and visual environment, mirroring the installation that spawned the Request Line material. The performance will unfold in two sets, in between which “homescreens” will set the mood as the performers engage and converse with the audience. Special guests will join for the second set and audience members will have the chance to interact with the stations and the performance directly.
